Frank founded Whitestone Associates in 1992. He brings over 25 years of global business proficiency, financial transactions on four continents, and successful transactions with international Fortune 500 companies to his role as Whitestone’s Senior Managing Director. His expertise in acquisitions, divestitures, and capital funding for small to mid-sized clients benefit the domestic and international niche markets in which Whitestone caters. Frank shares his expert knowledge and passion for teaching as adjunct professor at Adelphi University and Stevens Institute of Technology Graduate Schools of Business , instructing MBA students on courses regarding entrepreneurship, finance and strategic management. In July, 2019, evaluated as an outstanding instructor by his Stevens students. A native New Yorker, Frank earned both an MBA and MS from Hofstra University, and a BS from the State University of New York.
Ryan Phan is an experienced Business Analytics professional with proficiency in analytics, management planning, and strategic consulting. As an Analytics Advisor at Whitestone Associates LLC, he partners with management to enhance the bolt-on acquisition identification process. He leads initiatives in process automation, data governance, and integration, achieving reduction in processing time. Previously, as a Business Analytics Analyst in Finance, he specialized in developing automated BI reports, defining key performance metrics, and optimizing operations across multiple lines of business, resulting in increased efficiency and improved cross-selling opportunities. María Fernanda Ayala, a Chemical Engineer with a passion for business development, has had a dynamic career journey. She began as an engineer in the oil and gas industry before transitioning to a sales role, where she worked with biotechnology products for the food, feed, and water industries. It was during her time in sales that she discovered the central role of business in our world, sparking her curiosity and leading her to earn an MBA from Stevens Institute of Technology. Originally from Ecuador, María Fernanda’s last role was as General Manager at a local company. She thrives on leading teams, engaging directly with customers, and managing all aspects of the business. Neelam Dubey is a Financial Analyst with a passion for data analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and investment analysis. She began her career as a Financial Advisor, spending three years working for broking firms. During this time, she gained a deep understanding of the stock market and its nuances, allowing her to develop a keen insight into investment strategies and market dynamics. Currently, Neelam is pursuing a Master’s in Finance from Stevens Institute of Technology. She also holds an MBA in Finance and a Master’s in Commerce, which have equipped her with a robust academic foundation in financial principles and practices. Carlson brings four decades of senior management and leadership to Whitestone, with experience in global manufacturing, fluid-power, and motion-control industries. He spent 20 years at Sun Hydraulics, 16 of them as President and CEO, guiding its transition from a private company to a public one (NASDAQ-SNHY, now NASDAQ-HLIO). Under his leadership, Sun's revenue grew from $50M to $225M, and its market cap rose from $50M to $1.2B. Before Sun, Carlson held roles in engineering, product management, and sales at Vickers (Trinova). Since 2016, he has led the University of Florida’s Sarasota Innovation Station. He serves on boards for MEC, Inc., Husco International, and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Carlson is also active with NSF-funded initiatives and organizations like the National Fluid Power Association and Junior Achievement. He earned his degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Larry Peterson is member of Whitestone’s advisory team, leveraging decades of experience as president and CEO in marketplace distribution. He was President of Active Mobility of Ohio, a provider of durable medical equipment, served as Board Chair of Kenakore Solutions and ProMedica Health System, an eleven hospital integrated healthcare system in Ohio and Michigan. In 1993, Peterson founded Distribution Solutions, Inc. an electronic service bureau for the industrial distribution marketplace which merged with MROI Software in 1998 and was later acquired by IBM. In 1997, he co-founded Kenakore Solutions, an e-commerce-driven warehousing and logistics fulfillment center. Peterson is the former President and Board Chair of Sentinel Fluid Controls and served as President and CEO of Midwest Fluid Power Company in Toledo, Ohio, a role he held since joining the Company in 1974. He holds degrees in international studies from Bradley University and in foreign trade from Thunderbird Institute.
